Get to Know Us
Inspired by a trip to Italy and rooted in Oklahoma soil, Bois D'arc Winery is a dream many years in the making.

The Beginning
In 2009, Wesley Johnson and his mom, Judy Johnson traveled to Italy on a 2 week tour that would change the trajectory of the Johnson Family. Wesley fell in love with wine and wine making. Upon returning, he bought a beginners wine kit and spent the next 14 years stinking up his parents kitchen with his fermenting concoctions.

The Vineyard
In the spring of 2017, Wesley received a box in the mail containing 100 sticks. Those sticks were baby grapevines and were the first of the vines planted at the Vineyard in Lebanon, OK on Judy and Fermon's Farm. In 2019, The Vineyard grew to hold 850 plants covering 2 acres. Fermon is the head Viticulturist keeping the vines healthy and productive.

The Winery
Located on highway 70 about 5 miles west of Madill, the Winery and Tasting Room sit on family land that has been passed down through four generations of Judy's family. Her grandparents farmed and worked here until the State purchased the land where their home sat to build the highway. They moved their family to Lebanon
